ABOUT ME
富山県富山市出身、神奈川県横浜市在住。
多摩美術大学絵画学科油画専攻 卒業。
繊細な表現と大胆な構図で子どもや動植物などを描く。
立山を背景に富山湾で泳いだりと、自然豊かな富山でのびのびと育つ。
グラフィックデザイナーとしてデザイン会社で勤務した後、イラストレーターとして独立。2020年、イラストとキャラクター制作会社「PORTLAB合同会社」を設立する。
さまざまなタッチで広告動画やWEBサイト、企業のキービジュアルやキャラクターなど幅広いジャンルのイラストを手掛けるが、同時に自身のアイデンティティを見つめるようになり、アーティスト「アサバマリエ」として本当に描きたいこと・描きたい方法を模索。
細かな描写や大胆な構図、明瞭な色遣いなどが特徴の現在の作風に至った。
趣味は国内外への旅行、ワイン、野生動物の観察、スポーツ観戦。

MARIE ASABA

ABOUT ME
I was born in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. I currently reside in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
I graduated from Tama Art University, specializing in oil painting within the Painting Department.
My works depict children, animals, and plants using delicate expressions and bold compositions.
Raised in the lush environment of Toyama, I often swam in Toyama Bay with the Mount Tate looming behind me.
After working as a graphic designer at a design company, I pursued a career as an independent illustrator.
In 2020, I founded the illustration and character creation company "PORTLAB LLC".
I have worked on illustrations of a wide range of genres, including the key visuals and characters for companies.
At the same time, I started to explore the identity of myself as an artist, and started to search for the true essence of what and how I wished to draw as the artist "Marie Asaba".
My current style is characterized by detailed imagery, bold layouts, and vivid colors.
My hobbies include traveling both in Japan and overseas, enjoying wine, observing wildlife, and watching sports.
